The Vine is the newsletter of First Mennonite Church. Submissions should be emailed to the current editor, Cindi Schieber.
This group provides a space for anti-racism education, advocacy, and mutual accountability in our church and community. The group meeting is hybrid, with in person members meeting in the FMC library.
4-6 people meet several times each month for prayer, sharing, Lectio Divina and a short silence. Meeting times and days are decided by the group. New groups are formed each September. The group meets in person & on Zoom.

FMC Council acts on behalf of the congregation in addition to general administrative duties. This first meeting of the year is a joint meeting of the 2024/2025 Council members and includes a light dinner.

This committee is responsible for nurturing the worship life of the congregation.
Attendees meet for fellowship and a taco dinner. People sign up to help bring main items. Those not helping bring a main meal item are invited, though not required, to bring a topping to share.

The Interfaith Alliance is a network of faith leaders and houses of worship who gather together to seek the common good. FMC is part of a Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery Coalition of congregations that supports church communities in education, solidarity and reparative action alongside Indigenous Peoples. 12Noon - Congregational potluck. You are invited to bring a nut-free dish to share. 1pm - Congregational Annual Business meeting. The congregation reviews the work done in 2024 and discusses and decides the 2025 budget.
