Group viewing of streaming performance of “Homegrown” An Insurrection Play”

First Mennonite will host a group viewing of the performance video of “Homegrown: An Insurrection Play” by Champaign native Dr. Nicole Anderson Cobb. “Homegrown” is a three-act drama that examines the events of January 6 insurrection from the perspective of a church community grappling with political polarization and its effects on local churches, families, and the broader community. The play was performed at the Urbana Station Theatre in December 2022.

All are welcome, but please note that the play includes strong language, violence, and discussions of challenging social issues; not recommended for children under eleven.All are welcome.
