Discussion of “Homegrown” with playwright, Dr. Nicole Anderson Cobb

First Mennonite will host a discussion of “Homegrown: An Insurrection Play” with playwright and Champaign native Dr. Nicole Anderson Cobb. “Homegrown” is a three-act drama that examines the events of January 6 insurrection from the perspective of a church community grappling with political polarization and its effects on local churches, families, and the broader community. The play was performed at the Urbana Station Theatre in December 2022.

Dr. Anderson Cobb brings a wealth of experience from her teaching, writing, and advocacy work, including hate crimes education and gun violence prevention. All are welcome.
