PART 2: BREAK INTO SMALL GROUPS
(in-person & zoom)

Responsive Reading (based on Psalm 20; from the People’s Companion to the Breviary)

May God answer in time of trouble! May the name of our God protect us.

Send your help, O God, from your sanctuary, and give your support from Zion.
May you remember all our offerings and receive our sacrifice with favor.

May you give us our heart’s desire and fulfill every one of our plans.
May we ring out our joy at your victory and rejoice in your name, O God.
May you grant all our prayers.

Now I know that you, O God, will give victory to your anointed;
you will reply from your holy heaven
with the help of your hand.

Some trust in chariots or horses, but we trust in your holy name.
They will collapse and fall, but we shall rise and stand firm.

Give victory to your Anointed, give answer on the day we call.

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 15:34 – 16:3
